MDACA BDV provides centralized security including fine-grained access control and centralized auditing. MDACA BDV enforces policies to control access based on dynamic attributes such as IP-addresses, user role or group affiliations, access methods, time of access, etc. The policy model also supports authorization based on the classification of the resources by intentionally tagging data sets into predefined categories (e.g., PII, PHI, FINANCE, and SENSITIVE). The policy model provides enhanced support for row-filtering and data-masking that allows security administrators to narrow the user’s purview into any data set.
