In addition, the MDACA platform provides a JDBC Universal Database driver, specifically developed for MDACA PDB and designed to support legacy migration.
The MDACA JDBC Universal Database driver is designed to minimize the effect on legacy applications leveraging JDBC and to support incremental migration of the query code used by applications, reporting tools, AI/ML engine, and ETLs as well as user ad hoc queries, allowing phased migrations from databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, and others to MDACA PDB databases.
LDAP, PAM, Kerberos and Single Sign-On
The MDACA PDB database provides Single Sign-On (SSO) support through leveraging the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to simplify the credential management process. LDAP is the industry standard for accessing distributed directory services such as Active Directory and Open LDAP directories store entries (which may include people, groups, organizational units, and other items) in a hierarchical arrangement.
Leveraging LDAP adds another layer of security access to your database, meeting modern cyber security needs while simplifying user administration. With individual user accounts managed directly by LDAP, access to the MDACA PDB is managed by mapping LDAP users, group roles, and permissions.
Additionally PDB supports Privileged Access Management (PAM)-based authentication plugin, providing the capability to integrate PDB with SSO and two-factor authentication (2FA) protocols such as Kerberos.
Works in the Cloud, Cloud-Adjacent, Edge, and On-Prem
The MDACA PDB database is designed to support cloud deployments as well as regionally distributed, cloud-adjacent, hybrid multi-cloud solutions.
